Colorado Secretary of Wayne Williams visited the Moffat County clerk this morning, fulfilling a pledge to visit every county clerk during his first two years in office.

Moffat County Clerk Lila Herod said she had no problem with being No. 64 out of 64.

“They always save the best for last,” she said.

“It was well worth the wait,” she added. “Wayne’s so awesome.”

Williams  served as the El Paso County clerk and recorder before being elected Colorado secretary of state in  2014 and taking office the following January.

“Working with Colorado’s county clerks and ensuring that we provide the support they need is a critical part of this job and it’s a part that I love,” Williams said.
